Official “Snit” Pog Striker

In 1994, Atul N. Rao was called into YTV to co-create and perform a new character called “Snit” in the most popular daypart, “The Zone” to co-host with TV legend PJ Fresh Phil.   Snit’s character story - he’s a computer/monitor who was brought to life by a combination of saliva and gum.  With the voice mechanized by a harmonizer, a sampling keyboard and operating the puppet from remote using crude animatronics, Atul breathed life into the bizarre-looking creature, giving it a likeable, fun and witty personality which attracted hundreds-of-thousands of letters and emails.  When Atul left YTV and Snit was “launched into space”, the demand for Snit was so overwhelming, YTV decided to remake the character as the main host for the weekend, for a short stint.  The legacy of the original continues today with thousands of views and new fan mail on Youtube, facebook and many chats of young adults reminiscing about the old show.   BUT YOU CAN WATCH THEM (Phil & Atul) AGAIN ON XS NETWORK IN THEIR NEW SHOW “PUBLIC ACCESS TV” on Rogers Cable.
